Where did the idea come from?

We’ve been thinking for a couple of years about how best to elevate reading to the same sphere as gaming, films and music for young people. We’ve designed the Best Book Awards with this goal: to give children the choice to read what, how and when they read – they have the final say and deciding vote on the winners. Ultimately, celebrating the very best books every year in a fun and engaging way will change the culture of reading in this country.

Who runs the Best Book Awards?
